When should I contact moving companies?
If you are planning a full house removal, we recommend contacting us 4 to 6 weeks prior to your move. Depending on the time of year and the day of the week we can be booked out a number of weeks in advance.
It is never too early to contact us. If you are waiting for confirmation from your builders or solicitors then you may feel like you are not ready for a moving quote. In order to provide a quotation we would generally conduct a pre-move survey and it can sometimes be a few days or a week before we can book this in. Therefore having a quotation ready to go will give you the best chance of finding a moving company with the availability to fit you in.

The moving process
Step 1
- A free no obligation survey
o Contact MoveStore to arrange a free no no-obligation survey that will take place at a convenient time for you. This will allow us to determine your moving requirements.
Step 2
- Receive your quotation
o Following on from your survey you will receive a comprehensive quotation detailing your personalised move plan and the costs associated with our services.
Step 3
- Accept your quotation
o Once you have determined the services that you require, you can accept your quotation online. As our availability varies daily, we highly recommend booking as soon as possible to ensure that you secure your desired dates.
Step 4
- Receive a booking confirmation
o After we receive your online acceptance, we will secure your date and allocate one of our highly skilled removals crews to your move. We will then send you a booking confirmation outlining all elements of your move.
Step 5
- Pre-removal
o Prior to your removal, if opted for, we will organise parking, deliver packing materials and pack your possessions.
Step 6
- The removal day
o On the day of your removal, our crews will arrive at the agreed time fully briefed with your individual requirements and ready to conduct the removal as outlined in your quotation.
Step 7
- Post-removal
o Following on from your removal we will collect all packing materials as standard and recycle them.
How do I book a removal company if I don't know where I'm moving to yet?
At MoveStore we regularly provide quotations for clients who do not have a specific address to move to. We would provide a quote for your move to a specific area and we can revise this quotation once you have a confirmed address.
If you are unsure whether you will be in a position to move directly to your new property then please let us know and we can provide you with the option for storage.
Short notice removals
At Movestore we understand that certain removals can be required at short notice. If you are flexible on dates or not, always contact us as we do have some last-minute availability and we can often get cancellations for popular dates.
